MedicalJobsAustralia.com presents an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time or part-time Staff Specialist Anaesthetist to join the team in far North Queensland providing anaesthetic services within the North West Hospital and Health Service. Hours/roster negotiable, FIFO available.
The North West Hospital and Health Services (NWHHS) is responsible for the public sector health services in the North West region. The NWHHS covers an area of approximately 300,000 square kilometres and services many of the remote communities within North Western Queensland and the Gulf of Carpentaria. The Health Service promotes the wellbeing of people within the service area, ensuring that health services are of high quality, accessible to all, and effective.
The hospitals Department of Anaesthetics comprises 3 operating theatres and a 5-bed Intensive Care Unit/High Dependency Unit. Procedures are performed in both adults and children, in the specialty areas of general surgery, gastroenterology, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, acute trauma, obstetrics and gynaecology, and dental. Minimum Requirements:
• Hold Australian and/or New Zealand Fellowship or equivalent Consultant level qualification in the advertised specialty.
• Current registration or eligibility for registration in the advertised specialty or other relevant clinical specialty with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Demonstrable high level of clinical knowledge, proficiency, and skills extending across the broad range of anaesthetics, with an ability to work in relative isolation.
A permanent role is on offer with job security and flexible hours/roster arrangements negotiable (FIFO available). Pro rata remuneration package (based on full-time equivalent value) from $525,850 up to $650,288 p.a. Base salary rates between $210,332 and $266,677 p.a. (full-time) (L18-L27). Attraction and retention incentive allowance 50% base p.a. salary. Regional and rural attraction allowance 15% base p.a. salary. Inaccessibility allowance of $34,500 p.a. Motor vehicle allowance. 5 weeks p.a. annual leave with 17.5% loading. 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation. FREE accommodation and tax savings through salary packaging options.
