The Assistant Director, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships role provides an exciting opportunity to build relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and organisations to inform the development of culturally safe policies, projects and resources aligned to the ACT Disaster Resilience Strategy. The position will work with a range of stakeholders and lead community engagement activities to incorporate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledge and perspectives into the design and delivery of policies, projects, tools and resources that will enhance government and community disaster risk reduction and resilience capability. The Assistant Director, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships role sits within the Emergency Management Branch of the Justice and Community Safety Directorate, which is dedicated to the development and implementation of best-practice disaster resilience, risk reduction, preparedness, and recovery across the ACT Government.
