About the Role
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in refining healthcare data management, directly supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care. This unique role combines auditing and educational responsibilities within Liverpool Hospital.
The Clinical Coding Auditor/Educator will review clinical codes for accuracy and compliance, identify and correct coding errors, and develop and deliver training sessions on coding standards and best practices to clinical coders and clinicians.
Staying updated with regulatory changes and developing educational materials to support coding accuracy and adherence are also key responsibilities.
About You
To be considered for this position, you should have:
* A degree or associate diploma in medical records administration or health information management, or other relevant health-related qualification and/or experience.
* Proven coding experience with detailed knowledge of The International Statistical Classification of Diseases And Related Health Problems, Tenth Revision, Australian Modification (ICD-10-AM).
* Experience in conducting, documenting, and communicating quality improvement activities, particularly as they pertain to the clinical coding area.
Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills, with proficiency in MS Office products, are also essential.
