Job Title: Regional Director Housing Program Office
Katherine Region, Full Time Position:
The Department of Logistics and Infrastructure is seeking a highly experienced Senior Administrative Officer 2 to lead the Housing Program Office in the Katherine region.
About the Role:
This senior leadership position requires an individual with exceptional strategic leadership skills, program management expertise, and high-level advice provision to government agencies, stakeholders, and executive. The successful candidate will work closely with various public sector organizations, industry partners, and diverse stakeholders to drive regional, departmental, and government objectives within allocated resources.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic leadership to the Housing Program Office Katherine Region unit, achieving Departmental objectives in remote and urban housing, operational property services, contract and asset management, and other related programs.
* Develop high-level program management and strategic direction on remote housing and property maintenance, including policy and strategy development to support this program.
* Lead effective team resource management, finance, and budget management, while investigating contemporary practices and initiatives to enhance the delivery of remote housing and property maintenance.
* Engage with diverse stakeholders on housing property maintenance initiatives and assist the Executive Director Northern Region in strengthening relationships with Australian Government, NT Government, Local Government, Land Councils, and Private Sector organizations.
Selection Criteria:
* Essential:
o Experience in leading teams to drive large, complex housing infrastructure and property maintenance programs in remote areas, particularly within Indigenous communities.
o High-level strategic and operational advice provision, innovative solutions, and consideration of political, social, and organizational influences within a regional context.
o Program and project management skills with the capacity to manage multi-discipline projects and significant valued contracts.
o Contemporary leadership and management skills to engage teams, oversee human resource matters, budget management, performance reporting, and business planning initiatives.
o Collaborative skills to manage professional working relationships within matrix reporting structures and external stakeholders, focusing on developing local organizations.
o Excellent oral, written, and negotiation communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-level briefings and reports.
o Understanding of Indigenous affairs and culture, with the ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures and work in remote communities for short periods.
* Desirable:
o Recognized qualification in Project Management, Business, or other related disciplines.

The estimated salary range for this position is $148,302 - $161,638 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
