Established in early 2018, the Department partners closely with healthcare service, Alfred Health.
It is co-located with the hospital in the Alfred Centre and research precinct as a member of the Alfred Research Alliance.
Its vision is to improve the health and wellbeing of Australians living with neurological diseases.
A large part of the department's work involves clinical trials, worth more than $8M per annum, both commercial and investigator-initiated trialsAbout the RoleThe Research Manager supports the Head of Department in the delivery of the department's operations, strategy and practice.
This includes a range of activities including planning, communications, delivery of internal grant programs and events, and administration.
The Research Manager collates and drafts the biennial department report and coordinates the strategic planning activities and review every three years.
This position provides high-level, professional services and provides operational advice and support.
This role does not have any financial delegation, budgetary or supervisory responsibilities and is a short term replacement position.
