About you
* You have Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent and Certificate IV Road Transport (TL141310) - Heavy Vehicle Driving Instruction
* Hold a Medium Rigid Licence
* Have Certificate III in Driving Operations (TL131216)
* Have knowledge of Heavy Vehicle and Passenger Transport legislation or ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge
* Have knowledge of Safety Legislation or passion to rapidly acquire this knowledge
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
The opportunity
The Driver Instructor position is responsible for the safe and effective delivery of Heavy Vehicle Driving Instruction, alongside training delivery of TLI31216 Certificate III in Driving Operations (Bus). Working with our partnered Registered Training Organisation (RTO) ensuring training plans are completed and delivered within required time frames and carried out in accordance with appropriate standards and legislative requirements.
You will:
* Provide driving training (bus) to prepare trainees for heavy vehicle license upgrade (from C class to MR/HR, as applicable).
* Preparing lessons and providing instruction and teaching practical skills related to all aspects of driving.
* Coordinating and delivering a professional Driver induction training programme (TLI31216 Certificate III in Driving Operations (Bus).
* Driver education and performance development.
* Performing on-road driver assessments.
* Ensuring Training and Safety records are maintained.
