We are seeking a Corporate Planning and Performance Specialist to manage the preparation, delivery, monitoring, and reporting of Council’s strategic and planning documents in accordance with the NSW Integrated Planning & Reporting Framework, including the 10-year Community Strategic Plan, 4-year Delivery Program, Operational Plan, Resourcing Strategy, and various required reports.
Additionally, you will lead the implementation and development of our service planning framework and program implement processes for strategic service review. In this role, you will identify and track key performance metrics for both corporate and community sectors by analysing data, developing reports, and providing strategic advice to enhance performance assessments. This comprehensive approach aims to improve service delivery and foster better integration between departments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, co-ordinate and prepare Council’s Integrated Planning and Reporting framework and associated documentation in line with the requirements of the NSW Integrated Planning & Reporting Framework including the ten (10) year Community Strategic Plan, four (4) year Delivery Program, annual Operational Plan and supporting Resourcing Strategy
* Lead the execution of the Council’s strategic service review process, ensuring alignment with community needs and organisational goals.
* Identify and monitor key corporate performance metrics to drive data-informed decision-making.
* Develop comprehensive reports and provide strategic advice on performance assessment to enhance service delivery across departments.
* Develop and implement policies relevant to the role.
* Utilise data analytics to identify opportunities for improvement and foster greater integration between services.
* Engage with the Executive Leadership Team and service managers to finalise and operationalise the Service Planning and Review Framework, ensuring systems support service planning and reporting.
* Support managers and project teams by developing and refining Service Plans, addressing emerging issues to enhance Council’s service delivery.

About you:
* Degree in Business, Communications, Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics, or a relevant field.
* Proven knowledge and experience in Integrated Planning & Reporting requirements and the Service Planning and Review Framework.
* High-level understanding of business and corporate performance management principles, with extensive experience in delivering corporate and community reports.
* Ability to provide strategic guidance to management and effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
* Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills, with a track record of managing competing priorities in dynamic environments.
