The PMSA is a mission of the Presbyterian and Uniting Churches.The Role The Co-curricular Music Program at Somerville House is well-known for its exceptional quality and dovetails with the academic program from Pre-Prep to Year 12.Reporting to the Director of Co-curricular Music and Performing Arts, you will collaboratively work with the Director of Brass and Bands in overseeing the Band Program ensuring the quality of the Program is maintained, enhanced and delivered to a high standard. This position will require an approachable demeanour and must be able to communicate effectively with students, staff members and parents. This is a fixed-term, part-time term-time contract for 2025, working 22.8 hours per week across Wednesday, Thursday and Friday's, commencing from 20 January 2025 continuing until 12 December 2025. Having prior experience in a similar role within in independent girls' school, the Director of Winds and Bands will need to have Woodwind specialist area (clarinet or saxophone) with the flexibility to take on ensembles.
