The Northern Cancer Service is an integrated cancer service operating across three sites in Northern Tasmania, providing Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Haematology services. The position will be based at the W.P. Holman Clinic in Launceston providing inpatient and outpatient care. It will also provide outreach outpatient services to the North West Cancer Centre in Burnie and the Mersey Community Hospital in Latrobe. The Role: Provide a diagnostic and consultative service for inpatients and outpatients in adult haematology at the Northern Cancer Service. Contribute to undergraduate teaching and post graduate teaching. Undertake quality improvement and research activities. Permanent, full-time, day work position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. The successful applicant will also be part of an on-call roster. *notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary: Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1- Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 3 $210,000 - $301,349 per annum. Please note that access to the Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner salary range $291,472 - $301,349 is subject to the successful applicant satisfying the criteria for Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1, 2 or 3 as outlined in the Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022. Essential Criteria: Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty. Desirable Criteria: Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of Australia or equivalent.
