HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALISTHamilton Island is seeking an enthusiastic and capable Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic HR team.
This is a hands-on, broad-ranging role that supports the full employee lifecycle across a variety of departments, working closely with HR Business Partners and key operational leaders.The position is ideal for someone with generalist HR experience looking to further develop their skills in a fast-paced, supportive, and truly unique environment.
Reporting to the HR Manager, this role plays an integral part in delivering people-focused outcomes that align with Hamilton Island's values of Service, Excellence, Environment, Safety, and Team.Your RoleProvide day-to-day support and guidance to managers and employees across the employee lifecycle including onboarding, contract variations, probation management, performance support, and offboarding.Support low to mid-level performance and conduct matters, including note-taking, documentation preparation, and assistance with investigations in collaboration with HR Business Partners.Assist in the recruitment process for frontline and lower-level roles including advertising, screening, interview coordination, onboarding and compliance checks.Collaborate with the Recruitment and Learning & Development teams to ensure a smooth hiring and onboarding experience, and coordinate compliance training and record-keeping.Assist with auditing and reviewing timecards and schedules in Workforce Dimensions, ensuring alignment with Awards, policies, and procedures.Maintain accurate HRIS records and employee files, supporting compliance and reporting requirements.Provide general advice and guidance on policies, procedures, and Award interpretation, escalating complex matters where necessary.Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and support key people-related projects and continuous improvement activities.Liaise with teams such as Payroll, Staff Accommodation, Uniforms, and IT to ensure seamless employee support during onboarding and offboarding.About YouYou're ready to take the next step in your HR career and thrive in an environment where no two days are the same.
