About the Role
This is an Expression of Interest for an Environment Advisor. The UGL Major Projects division is expecting significant growth for 2025 in Western Australia as we support large Building Services Projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for locals and those open to FIFO and DIDO roles.
Key Responsibilities
Support site and project implementation of the environmental management plans.
Provide direction for managing local environmental risks.
Apply sustainability principles to create long term economic value.
Develop and assist in the coordination, promotion, and implementation of sustainability projects, initiatives, and policies.
Develop partnerships with government agencies, business groups, stakeholders, and the community.
Monitor construction activities to minimize environmental impact.
Provide training and guidance on environmental policies and procedures.
About You
Tertiary qualifications in an Environment or Sustainability discipline or equivalent that supports the position.
Extensive previous experience in a similar position in Civil Construction and/or similar projects.
Sound understanding of Western Australian Environmental Legislation with proven ability to review and interpret relevant legislation, standards, codes of practice, and contractual requirements to Environmental industry requirements.
Demonstrated experience in developing, reviewing, and adapting Erosion and Sediment Control Plans (Associate level and above or similar qualifications will be regarded).
Demonstrated ability in developing and interpreting project-related documents and preparing reports and monitoring compliance documentation.
Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handling multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
Experience working on large accommodation villages made up of modular buildings or similar types of projects preferable.
Australian driver’s license.
