The Opportunity
In this role, you will support mail and courier operations by handling deliveries and distribution. Your responsibilities will include managing mailroom tasks such as responding to email and telephone inquiries, coordinating courier deliveries using a van or buggy, and assisting with shipment processing. You will ensure the compliance of all Mail Services operations and activities with relevant workplace health and safety legislation, policies and procedures to ensure risks and hazards are identified and managed. This includes adhering to existing manual handling, working from heights, forklift and vehicle management procedures.
About you:
You demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high-quality client service and excel in effective communication with staff, students, and other stakeholders. You maintain strict confidentiality, work collaboratively as a team member, and exhibit the ability to apply initiative and sound judgment in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
To be successful you will possess:
* knowledge of the services and products provided by Australia Post and courier service providers;
* word processing and spreadsheet skills using Microsoft Word and Excel in a Windows environment;
* demonstrated knowledge of relevant of workplace health and safety legislation and practices including manual lifting and handling. The ability to undertake duties involving manual handling is essential as physical lifting of items, including assisting on the loading dock, are inherent in this position; and
* possession of a current Queensland Driver (Class C) license and Forklift license is also essential.
