Job Description
ACCIONA is a global leader in the development, construction, and operation of renewable energy projects and infrastructure solutions. We are committed to sustainability and excellence in every project we undertake. Our M&E (Mechanical and Electrical) division is expanding its portfolio in the renewable energy sector, focusing on origination, transmission lines, and tender delivery. We are seeking a Project Engineer - Electrical with experience in renewable energy projects, transmission lines, and tender delivery to join our M&E team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. This position reports directly to the Construction Manager and offers the opportunity to work on exciting, innovative projects in the renewable energy sector.
Required Skills and Competencies
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end delivery of electrical engineering aspects for renewable energy and transmission line projects, from safety documentation to procurement and construction budgeting.
Manage internal and external resources, liaising with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.
Oversee tender development and submission, ensuring compliance with technical and financial requirements.
Monitor project progress, focusing on cost control, time management, scope, and quality.
Provide technical, safety, and quality support to ensure compliance with HSEQ standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Act as a mentor for junior engineers, providing guidance, motivation, and professional development.
Coordinate subcontractors, ensuring their capacity to meet project deadlines and compliance with safety standards.
Prepare and maintain accurate reports on project performance, including weekly and monthly updates to senior management.
Ensure that quality management systems are implemented and adhered to, including inspection and test plans, as-built documentation, and defect remediation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
5+ years of experience in electrical project engineering, ideally within the renewable energy and transmission line sectors.
Proven experience with tender processes, including the origination and delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, contracts, and schedules effectively.
Strong understanding of HSEQ standards and construction safety regulations.
Proficiency in project management software and MS Office, with experience in cost control systems.
Ability to lead, communicate, and collaborate across multiple teams and external stakeholders.
Construction Induction Training (White Card), First Aid certification, and a valid Driver’s License.
