We are currently looking for a Mining Engineer with experience in drill and blast operations within relevant underground narrow vein mining environments. About the role As a key member of our Technical Services team, you will be responsible for the following: Developing and maintaining drill and blast guidelines and procedures for Mako Mining's underground operations. Creating and implementing drill and blast plans and procedures while reviewing stope drilling plans to ensure they meet our standards and deadlines. Evaluating all drill and blast activities, performing stope reconciliations, and analysing production statistics for each stope to identify opportunities for future production improvements. Assisting in the review of weekly and monthly schedules to ensure alignment with quarterly, annual, and Life-of-Mine (LOM) plans. Collaborating with the Underground Mine Manager and other Technical Services personnel to safely implement drill and blast plans while achieving targeted production goals. Demonstrating a safety-first culture and leadership in field activities, ensuring adherence to industry safety standards. Working effectively as part of a team, supporting team members, and contributing to overall outcomes. Key Responsibilities will include: A recognised degree in Mining Engineering or accepted equivalent. Minimum of 3 years post graduate experience in an underground mining environment. Experience using Deswik software and strong computer skills. Drill and Blast experience. Current and valid manual driver's licence. First Aid certificate. Current DGSC. Exposure to fast paced development and production teams. Excellent customer service skills, able to build and maintain successful working relationships. What We Offer Lifestyle roster.
