Responsibilities include managing day-to-day running of the cafe and catering business, food production, hiring, training, and supervising team members, maintaining a profitable business and executing the pathway part of SisterWorks’ mission by providing a pathway for Sisters to pursue work experience. This role requires experience in the food and beverage industry, interpersonal, and leadership skills.Roles and ResponsibilitiesManage daily cafe, catering, and food production operations, ensuring high service standards, product quality, and team coverage.Handle POS, logistics and inventory management, overseeing financials and sales growth, and collaborating with marketing for promotional activities.Focus on customer service, building relationships, and maintaining cleanliness.Oversee profitability, loss prevention, and reporting.Recruit, train, and motivate team members to uphold operational and customer service standards, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.Supervise and coordinate with staff to maintain consistent service.Minimum Requirements:Strong knowledge and understanding of the experiences for women with a migrant, refugee and seeking asylum background living in an Australian context.Demonstrated ability to communicate and work with people from CALD backgrounds.Forward thinking and organised.Good business acumen.Team player with leadership quality and experience.2-3 years of experience in the hospitality industry.Desirable experience and qualifications:Knowledge of the migrant, refugee and asylum seeker and/or community sector in Australia.Food Safety Supervisor certificate.First Aid certificate.Compulsory requirements:To be eligible for employment with SisterWorks you must be legally entitled to work in Australia and have satisfactory background checks prior to employment, such as mandatory police check and working with children check.Why work with SisterWorks?This role is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting women and elevating the voices of women to create change.
