About the role
Leadership Services branch develops and delivers services for the management of public sector senior executives and remuneration of government boards and committees. The team delivers value to the public sector and has a supportive culture that encourages growth.
We are looking for a capable and driven team member who is a good thinker, can solve problems and wants to make a positive impact through their work.
We are looking to fill the Consultant role requiring knowledge and understanding of human resources practices to address a broad range of executive employment matters.
In the role you will:
1. research and prepare reports, briefing notes, correspondence and other written material on a broad range of public sector management, executive employment and/or government boards and committees remuneration matters
2. develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships with external and internal stakeholders
3. contribute to special projects and other tasks.
We are looking for someone who has:
4. an understanding of human resource management
5. ability to analyse and report information
6. a practical approach to problem solving
7. well developed written and verbal communication skills
8. the expected behaviour in the Personal Leadership context or Leadership Expectations.

We currently have a fixed-term Level 5 opportunity available for immediate filling with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.
Other suitable applicants will be placed in a recruitment pool which will operate for a period of 12 months and may be used to fill other similar fixed-term and permanent full-time and part-time vacancies, in accordance with Part 5 (Appointment Pools) of Commissioner's Instruction No 2: Filling a Public Sector Vacancy.
