Commercial Services – Mt Helen or Gippsland Campus
Multiple casual opportunities with a competitive hourly rate. Rates of pay will vary according to the nature of the work undertaken.
About the role
Commercial services are seeking multiple casuals to provide assistance in the following areas:
General
* Provide a high level of customer service to students, staff, guests, and other commercial users across the suite of Commercial Services by phone, email, and in person.
* Ensure enquiries are responded to promptly and professionally, and where required, escalated to other staff as appropriate.
Venue Support
* Provide ushering service for large scale events and performances.
* Provide technical / AV support to functions and events.
* Assist with Food, Beverage, and Retail services within our venues.
Fedliving
* Carry out routine reception and administrative tasks as directed by the Coordinator, Commercial Services or Associate Director, Commercial Services.
* Ensure the organisation of short stay accommodation requests by:
o Entering bookings accurately into StarRez.
o Sending booking confirmations.
o Preparing room keys and after-hours arrivals.
* Sort and distribute resident mail and packages.
* Assist in printing and programming resident swipe cards as required.
Exam Supervision
* Ensure the security of examination materials before, during, and after the examination.
* Ensure room space is set up and examination is conducted in accordance with the external institution / professional body’s regulations and procedures.
* Promote and maintain good order for the examination, ensuring optimal conditions for candidates while sitting their examinations.
* General duties: checking candidate identification, recording attendance, ensuring examination papers are in order then distributing and collating, time keeping, and answering candidate enquiries.
