We are passionate about tackling the complex and sophisticated challenges of the built environment and delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to create accessible, resilient and liveable communities.What you’ll doProvide mechanical design expertise on single and multi-disciplinary projectsDeliver best practice and outcomes for clients, saving on costs and timeTake lead on small to medium size engineering design projects and support larger projectsCommunicate effectively with all external and internal stakeholders and project teamsBe a supporting figure and mentor for lesser experienced engineersBuild solid client relationships and recognize business development opportunities (desirable)Represent and promote the business with the local and regional marketsAbout youHold a recognized Tertiary Qualification in Mechanical Engineering.Demonstrate expertise in designing mechanical services systems (air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems).Have the ability to coordinate and understand relevant building services disciplines, including Electrical, Hydraulic, Fire Protection, and Environmentally Sustainable Design.Proven project experience in the building services sector across Infrastructure, Property & Buildings, Defence, Healthcare, Educational, and/or Mission Critical facilities.Possess a working knowledge of Australian building codes and standards, local WA experience an advantageEnsure registration (or eligibility for registration) in the professional engineer register of the relevant state for the building/construction industry.Demonstrate a history of effectively managing competing priorities, prioritizing work, and meeting tight deadlines.Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.Capable project and people leader - train, and mentor junior engineers, coupled with effective communication skills at all levels.About WSPWSP is one of the world's leading engineering professional services consulting firms, bringing together approximately 5,000 talented people across 14 offices in Australia.
