The Opportunity:
This Senior Reliability Engineer role offers a unique chance to lead a dynamic team and influence key engineering initiatives. Reporting to the National Engineering Manager – Customer Support, you will work across all engineering disciplines, continuous improvement initiatives, Information and Communications Technology (ICT), and key account customers, leveraging Komatsu’s cutting-edge systems. The successful candidate will lead a team of 2 to 4 engineers, bringing leadership experience and expertise in heavy mobile equipment. The focus will be on enhancing machine performance and productivity, improving machine availability and reliability, driving continuous improvement, and managing component reliability and lifespan.

What we are looking for:
1. At least 5 years’ experience in Reliability Engineering, with a strong background in heavy mobile equipment.
2. Proficiency with Reliability Engineering tools and methodologies, including FMEA, Weibull analysis, and condition monitoring systems.
3. Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, setting strategic goals and managing workflow.
4. Expertise in conducting and facilitating Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and presenting actionable insights.
5. Experience in quality investigations and using a Quality Management System to document findings.
6. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to represent Komatsu in key account meetings.
7. Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor of Engineering or higher).
8. RPEQ or CPEng qualification preferred (or ability to obtain).
