Your Opportunity
As an Administration Officer for the Student Management Bachelor of Nursing (BoN) Team you will:
1. Coordinate and undertake activities associated with the administration of the Bachelor of Nursing.
2. Assist students with portal applications via telephone.
The position reports to the relevant Supervisors/Team Leaders.
There are multiple opportunities available:
1 x Administration officerto support the BoN Team temporary full time to 27 June 2025.
1 x Administration officer to support the Professional Experience Placements (PEP) Team temporary full time to 27 June 2025
1 x Administration officer to support the Applications & Enrolment Team temporary part time (0.5 / 36:25 hours per fortnight) commencing 01/10/2024 to 27 June 2025 with the possibility of increasing to Full Time in January 2025.
These are temporary full/part time opportunities, to 27 June 2025 unless otherwise determined.
The position will be based primarily at Southport Campus however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities
3. Contribute to effective and efficient administrative systems, practices and processes to ensure continuity of a quality service to all clients.
4. Develop strategies and participate in audits to ensure quality of client management functions such as student records.
5. Provide a range of administrative services utilising various software packages including word processing, spread sheeting, databases, Federal Government databases, timetabling software, student administration systems and learning management systems.
6. Carry out tasks of a financial nature including the investigation of student accounts/payment plans/sponsorships.
7. Actively participate in administrative reviews and work practice improvements.
8. Provide supervision and direction to administrative staff within the work area.
9. Undertake research and development on matters relating to business functions.
10. Ensure day to day activities align with business operations.
11. Contribute to improvement in business processes and practices.
12. Model and actively promote an ethical and safe work environment that supports a culture of zero harm and best practice regarding health, safety, wellness and sustainability.

16. Well-developed knowledge of and skill in the utilisation of a variety of software packages and of computerised management information systems.
