A fully equipped camp is located 40km from the site offering leisure facilities for those flying in from Perth, Brisbane, Alice Springs, or Darwin.Join us and unearth your potential in a global company that is at the forefront of shaping the future of the mining industry.The opportunityWe are looking for motivated and reliable individuals who are eager to complete a 4-year Apprenticeship and commence a rewarding career as a Light Vehicle Fitter.The roleAs an Apprentice Light Vehicle Fitter, you will be learning about the mobile plant equipment used site-wide. Your training will involve maintenance, breakdowns, and fault finding on all types of surface and underground light vehicles and equipment.The program will commence in February 2025 on an 8:6 roster.To be eligible for the program you must:Great attention to detail and a willingness to keep up to date with changing technology.Enthusiasm to learn and use diagnostic skills and ability.Able to pass aptitude tests (numeracy, literacy, and technical) skills.Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.Ability to analyse and understand safety and job requirements.Willing to commit to a 4-year apprenticeship.A genuine interest in a career as a tradesperson and FIFO lifestyle.Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical (12-hour shifts in a challenging environment).Workplace Type: OnsiteTo be considered for a role you must submit a resume and complete all pre-screening questions in your application.Applications will close on Sunday, December 1, 2024, with preliminary screening commencing immediately.We understand no candidate will meet every single desired qualification.
