Production, Planning & Scheduling (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)Hampson Honey is looking for a full-time Honey Bottling Production Manager who can manage the day-to-day operations of the packing and extraction facility. The role involves managing a team of staff and liaising with key stakeholders such as shareholders, suppliers, and customers. The ideal candidate will be mechanically minded as overseeing the operation and maintenance of complex machinery will be required.Key ResponsibilitiesWith approval from the Executive Team, acquire new plant and equipment as needed, ensuring on-time and on-budget installation compliance with company standards.Develop, implement, and monitor bottling plant production policies to set minimum Company standards.Consistently monitor compliance with Company production standards.Ensure optimal efficiency across all areas of production – day-to-day operations, staffing scheduling, ongoing maintenance and annual shutdown maintenance scheduling, product quality control, disease management, supply chain, and logistics.Ensure compliance with the bottling plant maintains all Australian SQF standards such as GFSI, SEDEX, and individual retailer’s Quality control standards.Develop and manage budget forecasting throughout the year to ensure the financial objectives of the bottling plant are achieved.Actively monitor all aspects of bottling plant operations and production output, undertake regular reviews against the annual forecasted budget, and take appropriate corrective actions if and when required.Maintain all bottling records and cost reports to track budget performance.Manage and implement OHS policy to ensure safe operations; ensure staff compliance and enforce corrective action for non-compliance.Daily management of staff performance to ensure expected product volume is achieved daily and compliant with Company standards.Responsible for ensuring optimal staff/labour requirements in line with demand and budgetary constraints including hiring as required as well as daily scheduling and timesheets to ensure plant operates at maximum efficiency.Develop and manage supply chain strategy to ensure the low cost of bottling is achieved including facilitating honey and packaging deliveries from shareholders and external customers to the bottling plant and facilitating the delivery of the finished product to retailers as per shareholders' or external customers' requirements.Work with the Executive team to address and resolve production matters including advising on production process improvements from a compliance and efficiency perspective.Essential Qualifications, Skills, and ExperienceBachelor’s degree or higher relevant qualification and at least 2 years of full-time work experience relevant to the production/manufacturing industry; ORIf no qualification, then at least five years proven full-time work experience at management level relevant to the production/manufacturing industry.Strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously.Reasonable level of financial acumen.Advanced verbal and written communication skills.Strong commercial acumen.Experience managing a team.RemunerationAn annual salary of $90,000 - $110,000 plus superannuation.
