Work for an organisation that cares about you and the people we support We are looking for an exceptional person to join a team providing essential in-home, personal and community disability support to a participant in Morwell. This role is due to commence on 20th January 2025. The role: You’ll be providing personal home care, helping around the home, and supporting an NDIS participant to access the community. There will be paid orientation and shadow shifts to make your start as smooth as possible. Supporting a person with a degenerative disability, other shifts may become available in the area. Working in a team of Disability Support Workers with Keyworker and management support Great roster – flexible and regular Team support to cover shifts – consistent team Tailored support to meet the persons needs Regular set-shifts that aren’t constantly changing Long term local work that fits your lifestyle Qualities we are looking for: Healthy work ethic and team player Helping others is central to who you are Total respect for anyone living with a major disability Down to earth and practical with a good sense of humour Ability to maintain the physical side of disability care with respect and kindness The Shifts: To be considered for the role, you would need have some availability during the below Roster of Care: Weekdays: 8:00am to 12:00pm / 3.30pm to 7.30pm Weekends and Public Holidays: 9:00am to 12:00pm / 4.30pm to 7.30pm Successful applicant We are looking for the right person – see above Experience working with dementia and degenerative disabilities is preferred but not required. If you fit our requirements, we will start by calling you for a chat. Then we’ll organise a meet & greet with our person with disability and a some of the team. If everyone is happy to progress, we’ll set you up as an employee, provided orientation and two paid shadow shifts.
