The Senior 2D Rough Animator is responsible for bringing life to the characters of the Program/s, with an emphasis on enhancing the story and audience connection with the characters and narrative. Additionally working to, and maintaining, the creative and technical requirements for animation for the Program/s as required by the Animation Director and Animation Supervisor/s; and to the production schedule provided by the Production Company. About the role: Produce frame-by-frame animation for the Program/s that fulfils the creative standards of the project as advised by the Animation Director and Animation Supervisor/s Meet quota as briefed by the Production crew Complete creative revisions as requested by the Animation Director and Animation Supervisor/s in addition to the animation quota Adhere to the work flow structure of the project with successful adherence and completion of technical tasks at each animation stage, including but not limited to correct labelling of layers, clean and clear structuring of nodes, and submission of timing charts. Create economical and dynamic movement, keeping an eye on continuity and hookups while referencing a storyboard, with a drive to push the performance and energy in every scene. About you: Proven professional experience with character animation including lip sync and key posing in a 2D animation environment Experience in anime animation style a bonus Ability to work in a team environment and follow guidance from creative and technical supervisors Ability to be adaptable, flexible and responsive to changes Good sense of narrative storytelling, comic timing and camera Solid experience and understanding of Toon Boom Harmony in a production based environment Solid knowledge of 2D animation workflows and storyboard interpretation Excellent communication skills and willingness to share information in a team environment Passion for animation and storytelling.
