About you
You will hold relevant certifications and have a comprehensive understanding of Food Safety Laws and Occupational Health and Safety in a kitchen environment. You will have demonstrated experience in all facets of food preparation including managing a team, menu planning, preparation of daily meals ensuring they are fresh, well presented and appetizing. Furthermore, you will:
1. Certificate IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or higher
2. Food Safety Supervisor Training (Health & Community) - HLTFSE001, HLTFSE005 and HLTFSE007
3. Experience working in a food services environment and in the supervision of staff
4. Interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with residents, families, employees and volunteers; patience; common sense and an understanding of client service
5. Commitment to work as part of a team and without supervision
6. Ability to be self-motivated and to promote a positive lifestyle environment
7. Well-developed prioritisation and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
8. Demonstrated ability to operate with discretion and to maintain complete confidentiality
