superannuationAbout the opportunity The School of Economics at the University of Sydney is one of the primary centres for economics in Australia and the broader Asia-Pacific region.School academic staff have varied specialisms and areas of expertise, including economic theory, policy and econometrics.The Teaching and Curriculum Officer is responsible for supporting core business activities of the School of Economics related to teaching and curriculum (T&C).Supporting the Teaching and Curriculum Coordinator (TCC), your role would be to provide efficient and timely responses to enquiries and requests for information, advice, action, and submissions on behalf of the school.Your key responsibilities will be to: Coordinate school-run tests and examinations, including clash exams, timetabling and arrangements for further tests, special requirements and evening examinations, maintaining confidentiality and security of exam materials.Liaise with the relevant administrative staff in the preparation of casual invigilation contracts.Respond to a range of complex inquiries via telephone, email and in person, from staff, students, visitors and the public regarding a wide range of the school's activities, including the subjects and programs offered within the school.Coordinate results entry in local system and uploading to Sydney Student (SITS), including processing late results and variations.Support unit of study coordinators with other T&C processes, including special consideration and academic plans.Assist with the engagement, onboarding and rostering of casual academic staff (tutors).Support school and faculty teams with student-facing events and activities, including open day and info day, student welcomes, information sessions, tutor workshops and school teaching days.Liaise with students, student centre or faculty student administrative staff, where appropriate, in relation to case or issue management of academic misconduct, special consideration, timetabling or results processing under the direction of the TCC and School Manager.About you Excellent communication skills and knowledge of University systems for teaching administration.Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Outlook) and student information systems.Excellent planning and organisational skills, including experience in establishing and reviewing administrative processes with a strong customer-service focus.Excellent time management skills, including demonstrated ability to prioritize own workload and that of others to meet multiple deadlines in a high-volume environment.Well-developed interpersonal and teamwork skills, including a capacity to network widely and build effective relationships with colleagues and clients.Demonstrated ability to
