Providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological and supporting them to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.This opportunity working as a Rehabilitation Consultant stands out as you will also get exposure delivering some of IPAR’s innovative services including our pain educationRe-thinking Recoveryprogram. This program centres around using virtual reality and modern pain science to help people understand pain and re-train their brain and body. Re-thinking recovery is used in collaboration with a client’s current healthcare approach and will involve engagement with the entire treating team to ensure that the service is focused on the client.Duties of the role include:Case management (caseloads are manageable, and our consultants have the support of Rehabilitation Assistants toalleviate administrative tasks);Applying your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes;Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals;Completinga variety of assessments using your clinical and discipline specific allied health skills, such as Functional Capacity Evaluations,Worksite Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments, and Activities of Daily Living Assessments;Deliver our innovative virtual reality pain education program, Re-thinking Recovery.You'll be a driven and energetic professional with hopefully all of the qualities below!Tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology registration with ESSA;Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded;Fabulous communication skills - there is a lot of getting to know your clients and stakeholders!;Compassion and kindness always go a long way as does empathy;It's the kind of career where well developed time management skills are a must & plus!;A current NSWDriver’s License and access to own car with comprehensive insuranceis a must.Our core values are always at the heart of the work that we do every day:We act withintegrity.
