About This Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Clinical Research Clinician (Nursing) to provide clinical support to MRFF clinical trials in musculoskeletal injury. Reporting to Professor Michele Sterling, you will assist with research-related activities such as project setup and administration, participate in recruitment and follow-up, data collection and database usage/support, and project progress reporting to Chief Investigators. You will achieve this through facilitating and maintaining close working relationships with multidisciplinary clinical and research teams and other key stakeholders.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Monitoring participant health and medication dosage, liaising with the trial’s General Practitioners.
* Providing a high level of patient care to clinical trial participants.
* Liaising with Emergency Department research staff across a number of hospitals in Brisbane and Sydney to facilitate patient recruitment to enter clinical trials.
* Collecting data, participant questionnaires, and performing study-specific assessments.
* Performing data entry and maintenance of study-specific clinical trial management systems.
About You
* An undergraduate degree in Nursing or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
* Evidence of registration with AHPRA as a Nurse.
* Prior experience in clinical trials.
* Proficiency with clinical trial management systems or an ability to acquire this knowledge quickly, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.).
* Demonstrated knowledge of Australian regulatory requirements for clinical trials and clinical research.
* Maintain the ability to adhere to confidentiality laws and use tact and discretion in communicating around sensitive and confidential issues.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team with competing timelines; and to effectively communicate with staff of all levels, both internal and external to the organisation.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Well-organised, methodical and self-motivated.
* Previous experience in a similar role would be considered favourably.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, AHPRA registration, mandatory immunisations.
