This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Occupational Therapist looking to deliver tailored support services to students with disabilities as a member of the Specialist Disability Support in Schools. The (SDSS) is a government-funded initiative aimed at providing comprehensive support to students with disabilities within educational settings. You will work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and other allied health professionals.

The role:
* Conducting assessments to identify students’ motor skills, and educational needs.
* Creating and executing personalized therapy plans tailored to address students’ specific objectives and challenges.
* Delivering direct therapy services, both individually and in group settings.
* Collaborating with teachers and school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment and support inclusive learning practices.
* Providing training and support to school staff and parents on strategies to support students’ needs.
* Monitoring students’ progress and adjusting therapy interventions as necessary to ensure continued growth and development.

Requirements:
* Tertiary Qualification in Occupational Therapy – current AHPRA registration
* Experience working with children and adolescents with disabilities, preferably within a school or educational setting.
* Current driver’s license and car is a MUST, you will be travelling between Stanthorpe and Warwick visiting various schools
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
