About the role The Senior Technical Consultant Service Now is a high-performing member of our consulting team, responsible for delivering exceptional Service Now projects and services to clients across the Asia-Pacific region.
This position is based in Canberra (preferred) but open to candidates located in Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane.
Due to the nature of the work, Australian Citizenship is mandatory and candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain Baseline/NV1 security clearance at a later stage.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities Develop, configure, and customize the Service Now platform to meet business requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and address business needs.
Explore and test Service Now's out-of-the-box capabilities before considering custom builds.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code (Java Script).
Conduct code reviews and quality control to ensure maximum efficiency.
Develop scoped applications, workflows, and other UI elements for custom solutions and enhancements.
Provide guidance and expertise to support platform growth and development.
Conduct demonstrations and presentations of Service Now solutions to business teams and stakeholders.
Debug technical issues and develop innovative solutions.
Produce and execute test cases to maintain software quality.
Document code and application functionality, including drafting Functional Design Specifications.
Stay updated on emerging Service Now trends and technologies.
Transfer knowledge to team members on Service Now administration and development.
Requirements and Experience Must Have: A degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
Service Now certifications:Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) .
Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) ITSM and 1+ additional CIS certification .
Service Now Suite Certified (e.g., ITSM, HR, or CSM).
Proven experience delivering high-quality Service Now solutions and development.
Expertise in HTML, XML, Java Script/AJAX, and integrations (e.g., web services, SOAP, email, MID).
Ability to create build documentation, solution designs, and detailed design specifications.
Strong workshop facilitation skills and experience delivering multiple Service Now product line projects.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Current or reinstatable AGSVA Security Baseline / NV1 Clearance is desirable.
Nice to Have: Additional Service Now certifications.
ITIL Foundation certification.
5+ years of successful Service Now project delivery.
A general understanding of Service Now licensing.
