Resources Safety and Health Queensland (Organisation site: )SIMTARS RedbankWe are recruiting for a Control Systems Engineer who will deliver a range of commercial and levy-funded services to the mining industry.Reporting to the Principal Control Systems Engineer, this role is responsible for the development, maintenance, commissioning, and support for mine gas monitoring software and systems.This role is part of a team who are responsible for providing emergency and technical on-call support, equipment supply, and training, both remotely and at mine sites.You will be a part of the Mine Safety Technology (MST) team who provides technical support and emergency response to the coal mining industry with state-of-the-art mine gas monitoring systems. You will lead a team of professionals to develop, commission, and support software solutions used in mine safety applications.You will be required to participate in an all-hours technical support and emergency response capability, which requires out of hours work on short notice and frequent travel.It is essential that you possess a degree/qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or agreed equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution.
