This is a full-time position and available for immediate hire.Overtime is available for those who like to work longer hours.Our facility is modern with new machines added regularly and successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on different landmark commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.Our staff has a can-do attitude and a problem-solving approach while working on our projects. Overtime is also available for those who like to work longer hours.Sponsorship may be available, if needed, for the ideal candidate (full-time only) who is currently residing in Australia.Interstate relocation package is also available.About the role:The primary objective is to ensure that all jobs are manufactured, assembled, and made ready for delivery to the client in order of priority and to a satisfactory quality level.The Leading Hand / Workshop supervisor is responsible for assisting the Workshop Manager with controlling Workshop staff (i.e., boilermakers, welders, trade assistants, apprentices, machine operators, and laborers) and maintaining output at an efficient level.You will work hand in hand with the Workshop Manager and the senior management to reach the company's objectives.The role is best suited for:Experienced leading hands or supervisors in the steel fabrication industry.A Boilermaker who would like to pursue a career in supervision.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Steel Fabrication: Undertake fabrication functions as required.Work Scheduling: Assisting Workshop Supervisor with scheduling and organizing factory staff to ensure incoming orders are handled and produced in the required order of priority to meet delivery and client needs.Quality and Safety: Continually monitor output quality and identify non-conforming work and raise improvement requests to initiate rectification; and ensure that the workshop staff are following safety procedures.Workshop & Machines Maintenance: Ensure machinery is cleaned and maintained in a timely manner.To be considered for this position you need to have the following:Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade, or an equivalent Welding qualification.Minimum 3 years in a similar or supervisory role.Excellent knowledge of relevant Australian Standards.Excellent experience in welding, fabrication, materials management, forklift and overhead crane operation, dogman, and lifting.Customer service focused and committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels - written, phone, and face-to-face.Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, with varying communication styles depending upon the audience.Police Clearance.Driving license.Job Benefits:Friendly working environment.Industry leading career progression opportunities.Supportive and collaborative management team.Opportunity to work on landmark projects.Modern and well-equipped workshop.Full time positions with an immediate start & long-term employment opportunity.Sponsorship is a possible option.Relocation assistance package available.Overtime is available for those who like to work longer hours.Parking on site available.If you think you would be a good fit for our team, please apply now through our online application form. #J-18808-Ljbffr
