The Departmentemploys approximately 2,000 staff and has responsibility for nineprisons and sixteen Community Correctional offices across thestate. Our vision is for a safer community by protecting the publicand reducing re-offending. We work towards this through thecontribution of staff who are employed in a wide variety of fields,from correctional officers and teachers, to social workers,psychologists and supervisors of court orders. Duties
TheExecutive Assistant is accountable to the General Manager for theprovision of a confidential executive support service to the officethat contributes to the efficient and effective operationalrequirements of the Management Team and overall prison.
SpecialConditions
Section 47 of the Public Sector Act 2009applies in conjunction with other provisions of the act and otherapplicable industrial entitlements
The incumbent isrequired to satisfactorily complete a National Criminal HistoryCheck
A current SouthAustralian Driver’s Licence is essential
A flexibleapproach to working hours is required
Some interstateand intrastate travel will be required which may necessitateovernight absences
