CEO (CEO & General Management)Full time$120,000 per year + super, house, vehicleAn extraordinary opportunity for an experienced professional to initiate the economic advancement and self-sustainability of the community of Ardyaloon Incorporated.Role is based in Ardyaloon (One Arm Point) WA with relocation support provided to the successful candidate.About the Role:Reporting to the board and association chairperson, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is tasked with achieving the Association's goals and effectively managing its operations. This includes developing the Strategic and Business Plans in collaboration with the Board to promote positive outcomes for Ardyaloon Inc. members. The CEO will uphold the Association's values, provide leadership to ensure legal compliance, effective controls, and a supportive workplace culture, and drive sustainability.Key Responsibilities:Inspire, enable, and drive the management team to execute the Association's Business Plan and Strategic Plan effectively and efficiently.Maintain and sustain the vision of the Association, ensuring it remains underpinned by the values and purpose of the Association.Ensure that economic management, including systems, processes, and records, are maintained in accordance with relevant laws, legislation, and regulatory bodies, within the approved budget.Ensure that timely, accurate, and regular financial, governance, risk, people, and performance reports of the Association are submitted to the Board.Ensure that positive member relationships are established and maintained aligned with the Ardyaloon culture, values, and protocols.Ensure the administration of Member policies is delivered timely and efficiently, in accordance with the Ardyaloon Code of Conduct.Review and implement policies and procedures to ensure that the Association operates in accordance with statutory requirements and good governance principles.Ensure that the Association conducts and complies with annual audit outcomes.Oversee organisational performance, providing clear direction, clarity, support, and development to a small team.Direct and prioritise resources, including human capital and financial, towards the delivery of core business operations and strategic outcomes.Build organisational capability through succession planning and active development of Bardi Jawi Peoples through learning and development opportunities and upskilling.Ensure a safe and healthy work environment and work practices.Demonstrate and represent the values and vision of the Association in decision-making behaviours, actions, and communications internally and externally.Manage challenges, conflict, perspectives, and competing priorities with diplomacy, negotiating, and communicating beneficial outcomes for the Association.Required Qualities and Experience:Extensive experience in an executive leadership role.Experience supporting Boards with decision making, especially in relation to performance, corporate governance, and strategic planning.Proven experience in successfully driving strategic growth, innovation, and income generation.Excellent leadership, negotiation, management, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to source & prepare grant applications.Strong acumen in business management and development.Solid experience and understanding of remote community finance, HR & workplace safety requirements.Ability to promote and maintain policies and procedures to ensure the legislative requirements of the organisation are met.Preferred experience of working with indigenous people in remote communities.On Offer:Excellent Salary circa $120K + superannuation (subject to experience).Salary packaging available.38 Hour week Monday – Friday (Occasional weekend work may be required).Fully furnished 2BR house including utilities.Fully maintained vehicle (private use to be negotiated).Four weeks annual leave with leave loading.Relocation expenses will also be considered.Application Process:Council is eager to fill this position & will start its due diligence of applications on an as-received basis.
