Role Overview
As Interim Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the ASX reporting process, with a focus on the half-year end and year-end busy period. You will also play a key role in shaping finance processes and driving business improvements following acquisitions. Collaborating with the finance team, you'll ensure the accuracy of analyses, management accounts, and various financial reports.
Responsibilities:
* Monthly management reporting and ASX financial reporting (4D and 4E)
* External tax compliance and audit
* Hands-on month-end processing, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
* Group consolidation process and related schedules
* Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis
* Cashflow reporting and analysis of financial statements from Equity Partner Firms
* Monitor Equity Partner Firms' Debtors and WIP
* Prepare statutory and ASX reports, notes, and disclosures
* Production of subsidiary accounts and verification of workbooks from Equity Partners
* Oversee Group lease system and analysis of new leases
* Assist M&A team with financial support and decision-making
* Prepare final journal entries and accounting papers for completed transactions
* Monitor cash flows and completion processes
* Long-term incentive calculations and impairment assessments
* Ad-hoc projects and impact assessments for accounting standards/regulations
* Approve weekly AP runs, bi-monthly direct debits, and adviser payments
* Review surplus fund sweeps to corporate bank accounts
* Review annual FBT return and assist with income tax return preparation
* Review monthly BAS, IAS, and payroll tax
* Assist with debt covenant reporting and cashflow forecasts
* Assist with budget and reforecast data inputs
* Manage assigned audit requests and statutory reports
* Direct management of two accountants
* Ensure compliance with regulations, process improvements, and system integration project
Candidate Profile
* CA/CPA qualified
* Minimum 6 years work experience post CA/CPA qualification required
* Experience in statutory reporting and group consolidations
* Self-sufficient and hands-on experience in end-to-end month-end processing
* Strong communication skills with all levels of business
* Confident in using and adapting to different technologies
* High level of professionalism and integrity
* Emotionally intelligent, resilient and resourceful
* A capacity to deliver tight deadlines
* Capability to work effectively in a dynamic fast paced workplace environment
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
