An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Member Services & Events Senior Coordinator to join our team. As the Member Services & Events Senior Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and leading the delivery of events, activities, programs, and conferences for our Canberra Branch. Your efforts will be crucial in driving the acquisition and retention of both new and existing members. Key Responsibilities: Event Management: Collaborate with the Branch Manager to develop and deliver a variety of events. Manage the event calendar, planning, budgeting, and execution with precision. Event Marketing: Craft engaging content and manage registration processes to ensure our events are a success. Office Administration: Provide administrative support to manage professional presentation and operation of the office. Membership Engagement: Connect with members to foster a vibrant ACS community. About you: To be successful in this role it is expected you will have; Experience in a Member Services or Event Coordination role; preferably in a member-based organisation or corporate environment. Exposure to developing event marketing strategies. Experience in a senior role within an events team and a proven ability to understand complex reporting lines and manage competing demands. Well-developed verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organisation, both internal and external stakeholders – must have the capability to be able to quickly establish effective working relationships. Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work independently and to use initiative and problem-solving skills to organise and prioritise competing deadlines. Ability to gain credibility with ICT professionals across all levels. Exceptional customer service skills with an ability to manage client expectations. High attention to detail and level of accuracy in all tasks. Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills, with an ability to identify problems and offer solutions, in a timely manner. Experience and intermediate knowledge using Microsoft Office suite of programs and other software applications and managing databases including Salesforce CRM systems.
