Job Purpose The role will be responsible for the provision of background information to support environmental assessments, management of sustainability data, archiving and other general project support duties to support the operation and maintenance of the Rail Network and other associated assets and operations of the CRN. Key Responsibilities Research public and internal databases to identify environmental risks requiring further environmental impact assessment. Collate sustainability data to meet UGL Corporate reporting requirements. Assist in the development of Site Environmental plans, impact assessments, reviews of environmental impact assessments. Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of site environmental controls such as: Ensuring that sediment and erosion control measures are installed and maintained to minimise the risk of environmental harm from UGL's construction activities. Reviewing sub-contractors Environmental Management Plans, procedures, records and activities. Managing risks associated with environmental hazards, incidents and controls. Liaise with internal stakeholders to manage project schedules, scopes, and priorities. Draft correspondence to external stakeholders as required. Coordinate contractor site works, internal exercises with contractors and internal stakeholders, inclusive of Purchase Order management. Investigate and provide advice in relation to pollution complaints. Draft environmental impact assessment information as required to support program delivery. Manage SharePoint archiving, assist in audit/internal reporting requirements. To be proactive and involved with achieving continuous improvement in Safety, Environmental and Quality Standards. Other duties as required by the HSE team to support the achieving of objectives and targets. Qualifications Tertiary Qualification (Diploma or greater) in Environment and Heritage related discipline. Minimum 1 years' experience in a similar role in transport operations (preferred). Knowledge of the Commonwealth, NSW and ACT Environmental legislation. Awareness of ISO 9001/14001, ISO31000, ISO45001. Above average computer literacy skills.
