About the Role: Lead and facilitate project management processes to monitor the implementation of recommendations from the Commission of Inquiry into Forensic DNA Testing in Queensland.Develop briefs and papers for key governance bodies, including the FSQ Advisory Council, Forensic Science Steering Committee, Forensic Science Advisory Panel, and other relevant stakeholders.Additionally, provide ongoing high-level contributions to the design, implementation, and evaluation of various project activities within Forensic Science Queensland.Key Responsibilities: Lead the implementation and monitoring of recommendations from the Commission of Inquiry final report, ensuring timely, successful outcomes.Prepare high-quality, well-researched briefings, reports, submissions, and correspondence for senior governance bodies.Monitor project progress, report on key performance metrics, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives and governance requirements.Identify and mitigate risks, offering strategic advice to senior executives and stakeholders.Foster productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and project success.Provide leadership and expert advice on project management, governance, and change processes to support decision-making and strategic outcomes.Skills and Experience: Proven experience managing large, complex projects in a governance or strategic context, with strong change management and delivery capabilities.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, concise briefings and reports for senior leaders.Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse relationships and expectations.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.Experience in leading or supporting the implementation of change management processes and ensuring benefits realisation.Desirable Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Business, or a related field.Experience in government or public sector project management, particularly in governance or advisory roles, is highly desirable.Further informationWe are committed to building inclusive cultures in the Queensland public sector that respect and promote human rights ( https://www.forgov.qld.gov.au/humanrights ) and diversity ( https://www.forgov.qld.gov.au/inclusion-and-diversity-commitment ).Applications will remain current for 12 months or for the duration of the vacancy.Future vacancies of a temporary, full time and part time nature may also be filled through this recruitment process. #J-18808-Ljbffr
