About the Role
Aurizon's Bulk team continues to expand in regional NSW as we progress mobilization to deliver for our new long-term rail haulage contracts.
We have exciting opportunities available to be part of Bulk's NSW growth story in Broken Hill. Our partnership with a cornerstone customer will see Aurizon secure a key position in Australia's growing containerized freight market.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate locomotives, including mainline, shunting, and marshalling.
* Examine and certify trains as ready for departure.
* Work in accordance with Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures.
* Maintain a high level of on-time running.
* Prepare and conduct brake testing on locomotives.
* Provide high-quality customer service to enable Aurizon to meet its business objectives.
About You
* You are committed to safety and Aurizon's safety strategy.
* You are available to work a 24/7 shift roster.
* Experience in NSW & SA Safe Working System is advantageous.
* You have extensive freight and/or heavy haulage locomotive driving experience.
* You hold a Certificate IV in Rail Operations (or equivalent).
* You have a current unrestricted Class C drivers' license.
