Deakin is a cutting-edge public university in Victoria, revolutionising education with 61,000 students across seven campuses: Melbourne Burwood, Geelong Waurn Ponds, Geelong Waterfront, Warrnambool, Deakin University Lancaster University Indonesia (DLI), GIFT City, India and our dynamic online Campus.We're proud to be a progressive and open-minded university, delivering the highest student satisfaction in Victoria and consistently ranked in the top 1% of the world's universities.We are seeking to appoint a Clinical Trial Coordinator for the project management and trial coordination of the Bugs & Bumps clinical trial.The Bugs & Bumps trial is aimed at assessing the effect of a gut-focused dietary smartphone app for pregnant women on the maternal and infant gut microbiome, and subsequent neurodevelopmental outcomes in children.As a Clinical Trial Coordinator, you will: Co-ordinate a small multidisciplinary team of staff to conduct clinical trial activities in accordance with study procedures and project timelinesEnsure that the study is conducted in compliance with Australia's clinical trial regulations, ethical standards and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)Co-ordinate and conduct trial activities including but not limited to: recruitment, screening participants, trial administration through REDcap and shared calendars, data collection including online and in-person study visits, managing study resources, safety and risk monitoring, trial close-out activities, meetings and reportingSupport study staff with clinical trial conduct guidance and education and document trainingPrepare, review and maintain study documentation, including but not limited to: ethical and other governance and regulatory documentation; study protocols; standard operating procedures and training manuals; redcap database, meeting minutes, and any other relevant documentationTo be successful, you'll have: Post graduate qualification in Biomedical Science, Nursing or other relevant discipline; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/trainingSubstantial relevant experience in clinical trial coordinationExperience with Good Clinical Practice and Governance regulatory requirementsExcellent communication skills, able to manage staff, project timelines and work effectively and respectfully with trial participants and researchersDemonstrated organisational and planning skillsHere's how to apply: Please submit your updated resume and a short cover letter outlining your skills and experience.For a confidential discussion regarding this role, please contact Samantha Dawson, Research Fellow, via ******For a copy of the position description, please see below:Applications for this position close on 25 December 2024.
