Busy bakery at Main Beach, Gold Coast requires a fully qualified baker/pastry chef with minimum 2 years experience. We produce a variety of pies, savouries, bread, pastry and cake products for our shop. We have been operating for over 30 years. We are looking for a long term employee to join our team.
The position requires a very passionate, confident and energetic professional with 100% commitment who has got the skills and speed to consistently produce high quality breads that meet our standards in a busy environment. Further, you will need to have an eye for detail and the demonstrated skills in rye and sourdough breads. Must be a great pie maker as well.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* ensuring quality of products meet established standards
* monitoring oven temperatures and bread appearance to determine baking times
* unloading ovens and arranging de-panning and cooling of bread
* mixing and then baking doughs and batters
* making pie mixture and baking of pie, sausage rolls and all savouries
* maintenance and cleaning of equipment, and cleaning up after production.

This can be a casual or full time position with above award rates. Available for rotating rosters with some weekend work. Start time flexible. Bakery is air-conditioned and in prime position at Main Beach.
