About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Marketing and Events Officer to join the Department of Rural Health, at the University of Melbourne. The Marketing and Events Officer supports the daily operations of the Goulburn Valley Regional Training Hub (GVRTH) including; administration, event coordination, marketing and communications support.
The Marketing and Events Officer will provide support to the implementation of the Regional Training Hub program by working with students, local health services, regional training organisations, specialist training colleges and post graduate medical councils to support the integration of medical training in the Goulburn Valley Region.
Your responsibilities will include:
4. Contribute to planning, organizing and promoting events.
5. Create content for online advertising and promotion.
6. Act as the first point of contact for the Regional Training Hub.
Who We Are Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have high level organisation skills, excellent communication skills, a strong customer/service focus and be someone who enjoys working collaboratively within a team. You will be able to draw on your strong problem-solving skills, to deliver creative solutions.

7. Completion of a degree, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
8. Demonstrated experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders in a complex work environment.
9. Demonstrated experience updating and maintaining web content and social media posts.

The Department of Rural Health is a department within the Melbourne Medical School at the University of Melbourne. The Department is based in Shepparton, Ballarat, Bendigo (in partnership with Monash University and La Trobe University) and Wangaratta and has associations with more than 40 smaller rural towns in Victoria. The key purpose of the Department is to provide professional health education and research training in a rural context with an aim to increase the rural health workforce. The Department works closely with the local community and healthcare partners to ensure that we remain relevant and connected. Our partnerships underpin our teaching and research. The Department of Rural Health is funded primarily by the Australian Government Department of Health’s Rural Health Multidisciplinary Training (RHMT) Program.
