Our client, well established in the service industry is looking for a payroll officer to join its team.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager and working within a team, you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following duties:
* Process weekly/fortnightly payroll runs
* Processing adjustments pertaining to leave accrual, RDOs, termination.
* Attending to payroll queries by internal and external stakeholders
* Assisting with preparing weekly payroll reports.
* Investigation of time management system discrepancies and/or anomalies
* Preparation of worksheets to support superannuation payments, payroll tax remittances and Work Cover remuneration statements
* General Administrative duties
* Understanding of awards and ATO legislation.
The successful applicant will have:
* Experience in managing end to end payroll runs within a medium to large organizations.
* A good understaning of awards
* 4+ years of solid experience in payroll locally
* Having worked in ADP is an added advantage
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to multitask and work within a fast faced environment
* Strong excel and numeracy skills
* Willingness to take initiative and learn
* Experience in service industry is an added advantage
