The Opportunity
We have a unique opportunity for a dynamic candidate to join our impressive and highly regarded Commonwealth Government practice as an Solicitor/Associate. The work is highly varied – it includes advising on procurement processes, reviewing contracts and probity advice in respect of all aspects of the tender process.
You will have great written skills, a sharp eye for detail, the ability to work well autonomously, while also enjoying collaborating with the broader team. Able to think strategically, make valuable contributions and bring great ideas to the table to help deliver an optimal experience to our
clients.
Scope of the role
The successful candidate will be engaged in:
* Direct client access
* Working closely with Patrick Rodgers & Brian Ambler
* Supportive training and mentoring
* Advising top-tier clients on procurement and probity liability, strategy and risk management
* Ability to analyse information and provide concise, pragmatic and adaptable legal advice
Skills and experience
Specific skills and experience for this role include:
* 2 – 3 Years Procurement or government contract experience or Law degree
* Analytical skills and legal reasoning
* Some knowledge of probity, procurement and general commercial matters
* Written skills including plain English
* Interpersonal and communication skills
* Hunger to learn
* Drive to contribute to the success of the team and firm
* ‘Can do’ approach
