The Role We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Officer to support and drive the overall Patties Quality strategy within Pakenham Operations on our day shift team. The hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 7am – 3:30pm - No rotation required.
Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, and working closely with the site operations team, the key purpose of the role is to support the maintenance and continuous improvement of quality assurance & food safety program onsite so the processes can continue to meet and exceed customer expectations. Liaising directly with the Production and Quality management, your duties will include but not be limited to:
Educating and engaging production staff in relation to GMP requirements and quality standards around production lines. Conduct daily checks & line-walks on production lines to ensure CCPs, QCPs and X-Ray checks are met. Conducting GMP Audits and internal audits that verify quality & production processes. Assist quality manager with internal and external audits. Maintain Site document control and procedures so that the operational procedures comply with established practices and standards. Provide food safety and quality training to production staff. Continuously verify the level of training of all staff is sufficient in food production and every personnel who are responsible for food safety in their areas have the appropriate skills and practical knowledge. Investigate Non-conformances and root-cause analysis. Advising production and management on Quality performance and systems. The Person To be successful in this role, you will be highly motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in quality compliance and manufacturing environment is desirable. You will also demonstrate the following:
Previous experience in the same role or one of a similar nature. Initiative and energy to deliver within deadlines. A strong passion for quality and your ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment will ensure your success. You will demonstrate high attention to detail, problem solving and decision-making skills to achieve the desired outcomes. Have the confidence and skills to drive the quality culture and support the operations team through processes will be highly regarded.
