The Registered Nurse Opioid Treatment Program coordinates and delivers high quality person centred nursing care in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Standards for Practice for Registered Nurses, and the Policies and Procedures of the Ministry of Health (MoH) and Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD). Nursing care is provided utilising the principles of Trauma Informed Care and Recovery for people with Alcohol or Other Drug (AOD) issues.
If you have :
1. Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) and availability and capacity to participate in a seven day roster which includes all days of the week including public holidays
2. Demonstrated experience working in a relevant clinical setting AOD service setting, Acute Care, Emergency or a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, or a combination of study and work experience
3. Ability to use problem solving skills and a multidisciplinary team approach in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care
4. Knowledge and understanding of evidence-based practice, quality improvement and person-centered care including Trauma Informed Care and Recovery principles in the care of people with alcohol and other drug use issues
