Finegreen are currently supporting a large NHS Trust in the Midlands, looking to appoint an interim Deputy Director of Estates and Capital Planning. The role is the most senior appointment within the Estates, Facilities and Capital Planning Directorate for the Trust. Brief Overview: Lead specialist for Estates and Capital, responsible for developing and delivering the Trust's Estate and Capital Strategy, and developing policies and procedures as appropriate. Expected to regularly communicate highly complex and multi-faceted information relating to estates, capital, and maintenance with Modern Matrons, Ward Managers, Heads of Departments, Medical and Nursing staff, Department of Health Estates Advisors, and external agencies to provide professional advice and specialist knowledge for effective service delivery. Senior lead specialist providing direct management of a multidisciplinary maintenance department to ensure all engineering maintenance is carried out to ensure high performance and compliance with recommended standards and legislation. Overall responsibility for complex engineering plant, equipment, and services throughout the NHS Trust and other properties covered by a Service Level Agreement, e.g., high and low voltage electrical systems and steam raising plant and equipment. Review existing planned maintenance programmes, ensuring these programmes are prioritised and updated for maintenance of engineering infrastructure, plant, and equipment, making informed judgements based on a range of factors as requested. Provide specialist information relating to the areas of responsibility to assist the Estates Information Office in completing the annual ERIC (Estates Returns Information Collection) or other statutory returns to benchmark the Trust's Estates Performance nationally with other Trusts. Hold membership of an appropriate professional body, e.g., Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), Institute of Engineers and Technicians (IET), Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management (IHEEM), RICS, and/or RIBA.
