Business Development Manager – Commercial and Residential Portfolio Maintenance Core Objectives: Drive growth in commercial building work in the following segments: Commercial property refurbishment Residential portfolio refurbishment Residential portfolio facilities management Portfolio maintenance contracts Key responsibilities: Business Development & Sales: Identify and target potential clients, including housing associations, retirement village owners, and portfolio landlords. Develop tailored proposals for portfolio refurbishment, maintenance contracts, and facilities management services. Lead contract negotiations and close deals to secure new business. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring excellent customer service and addressing their needs promptly. Foster long-term partnerships that drive recurring business. Market Research & Strategy: Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities for growth e.g. government grant scheme and understand industry trends. Design service offerings that meet market demands and client expectations. Project Oversight: Coordinate with quoting and project management teams to ensure client expectations are met during project delivery. Oversee contract implementation to ensure quality and timely completion of refurbishment and maintenance projects. Financial Performance: Exceed sales and profit targets. Maintain agreed gross margin ratios and manage pricing risks. Prepare and present sales forecasts and performance reports to the senior management team.
