The RoleAs the Maintenance Systems Officer APS5, you will hold the appointment of Technical Integrity Supervisor (TIS). The TIS is a non-technical appointment and is the senior Maintenance Control Section (MCS) or quality manager within the organisation. The TIS is responsible for planning and scheduling technical maintenance and ensuring compliance and oversight of the end-to-end maintenance processes.
Is responsible for maintaining and managing all maintenance records for equipment maintained by 30SQN MEOMS.Coordinates the 'Calling In' and receipt of equipment, and the prepositioning of resources to Joint Logistics Unit (JLU).Is responsible for 'Call Out' of the equipment.Analyses and provides advice on technical maintenance liability and capacity through the use of maintenance reports and is responsible for long-term forecasting.Provides the interface between the maintenance element, JLU/Babcock maintenance and the equipment owner/operator.Is responsible for all scheduled maintenance (servicing) and technical inspections on all equipment both internal and external to 30SQN, and is responsible to repair all Growth Work identified during the scheduled maintenance process as well as all breakdown and unscheduled maintenance.Receives all maintenance requests and reviews them to ensure that they are within the capability and capacity of the maintenance organisation. All approved maintenance requests are then converted to Work Orders, which are allocated to Work Groups.Conducts internal audits of the maintenance conducted within the facility during servicing and technical inspections, and the correct processing of maintenance documentation. Overview of the long-term planning of forecasted work, management of resources to JLU/Babcock including the facility assets and personnel of the maintenance facility.Administers the documentation required to ensure maintenance is performed IAW the relevant Technical Maintenance Plan, Engineering Instruction or manufacturers publication.Checks for current Report on Defective or Unsatisfactory Materiel (RODUMS), Tech Alert Bulletins and Special Technical Instructions relevant to equipment called in for maintenance.About our TeamThe 30SQN Mechanical Equipment Operations and Maintenance Section (MEOMS) provides technical maintenance support ensuring continued base flying operations. 30SQN MEOMS also provides a driver training capability for ADF and small arms maintenance and repair for the base.
The team consists of full-time APS Logistics and Road Movements Officer, APS Maintenance Systems Officer, APS Vehicle Mechanics and a Fitter and Turner, as well as many RAAF Reservist supporting in a variety of roles.
