The team empowers front-line service staff to achieve targets, offers strategic advice on process improvements, and drives continuous improvement to streamline processes and maximise effectiveness.About the RoleAs an APS5 Operations Officer, you will work under limited supervision to address moderately complex to complex operational tasks. Guided by relevant legislation, policies, and standards, this role involves engaging with internal and external stakeholders to provide valuable advice and resolve enquiries. In addition to your core responsibilities, you may oversee a team by setting priorities and allocating tasks to team members, contributing to a collaborative and productive work environment.Home and Living Support: Provide secretariat support for all Home and Living decisions and assist agency teams with related enquiries.Issue Resolution: Address issues and complaints related to participant Home and Living applications, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions.Process Improvement: Lead and contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and participant outcomes.Data Management and Reporting: Manage, interpret, and analyse data to produce reports and dashboards that inform both strategic and operational planning.Performance Achievement: Contribute to the achievement of key performance indicators, including planning targets, to support the organisation's strategic goals.Correspondence and Workflow Management: Monitor and action correspondence, assigning and handling internal work items efficiently.Team Coaching and Mentoring: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members on technical, operational, and administrative tasks.About youTo thrive in this role, you need:Experience in data analysis, reporting, and managing performance targets.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve moderately complex issues.Excellent communication skills for engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.Experience in process improvement initiatives and understanding of strategic operational planning.Proven ability to coach and mentor team members, fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment.Be able to pass and hold a national police check and worker screening check.Must be an Australian Citizen.To apply, please submit your updated resume and a brief cover letter detailing your relevant experience.
